Modern Smart TVs from Samsung and LG can run IPTV UK without any extra box, using the Smart IPTV app. The setup is slightly different from a Firestick or Android box because it relies on registering your TV's MAC address online.
Installing Smart IPTV
Search your TV's app store — Samsung Apps on Tizen models, or the LG Content Store on webOS models — for 'Smart IPTV' (sometimes shown as SIPTV) and install it.
Registering your MAC address
Open the app on your TV and note the MAC address it displays. On a computer or phone, visit the Smart IPTV activation website, enter that MAC address, and paste in the M3U playlist URL from your IPTV UK subscription.
Loading your channels
Reopen the Smart IPTV app on your television. Your live channels, categories and EPG should load automatically within a few minutes of activation.
If your TV isn't supported
Older TVs or less common brands may not support Smart IPTV at all. In that case, connecting an inexpensive Firestick or Android TV box to any HDMI port gives you access to the full range of IPTV apps instead.
